Beautiful ascent or descent to, or from the Toni Demetz hut. Impressive gorge between the towering walls of the Sassolungo. Good walkability, but sturdy shoes and a little surefootedness you should bring.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people everywhere, but still a wonderful view of the narrow Sassolungo Karr or the Marmolada. There is also a cable car to get there and there is a tavern at the top.

Mega ... but with so much snow and thunderstorms, the climb from the Langkofelhütte to the lift is not recommended.

The circular walk around the Sassolungo with descent through the Langkofelscharte (2685 m) to the west is an absolute must for ambitious hikers. During the descent, a rest / snack in the Langkofel hut (2256 m) can be a good break. The vistas to the west are overwhelming.

Please do not approach the rock faces of the Fünffingerspitze without a helmet (to hold or take a photo session for example). There is to be expected with increased risk of falling rocks through the climbing paths on these walls!

Up with the adventurous funicular railway, wonderful. The descent towards the Alpe di Siusi is heavily frequented but still beautiful and impressive. On the way there is the possibility or to rest in the Langkofelhütte. Good food, busy service, but mostly very busy.

As always on popular hikes like ours around the Sassolungo, the following rule applies: it's worth setting off early 😄. You simply have more time to enjoy beautiful impressions for yourself in peace. The outlook changes again and again and then also release the Schlern and Santner peaks.
