The Nordoe Inland Dunes (or often simply called "Nordoer Heide") are a nature reserve and popular recreation area for Itzehoe and the surrounding area. This area was once a military training area for the nearby former Nordoe barracks, on whose grounds a residential area has now been developed.

I can recommend the Binendüne as a running route. The landscape is very beautiful here and there are also horses.

The view is beautiful, you just have to linger here

Absolutely recommended swimming spots. Nice beach access, trash cans, life boards and life rings (which hopefully aren't needed, but great that they exist). Really very nice places to linger and enjoy and also tables and benches in the area if you want to sit properly for a snack.

Around the NSG there are a few benches and picnic areas that invite you to linger.
