St. Bartholomew's Cathedral, a prominent landmark in the city center, is a Gothic church with a tower approximately 95 meters high that has dominated the cityscape since the Middle Ages. The tower rises above the surrounding buildings and, together with the historic old town and modern skyscrapers, forms a typical panorama of the city. Visitors can climb to a viewing platform 66 meters high. St. Bartholomew's Cathedral is named after the Apostle Bartholomew, the church's patron saint. The term "Imperial Cathedral" refers to the church's historical function as the coronation church of the Holy Roman Emperors during the Middle Ages; most imperial coronations took place here between 1356 and 1792.

From this position on the Holbeinsteg bridge, you have a great view of the Main River, the skyline, and the surrounding buildings.

Just like the Nidda cycle path, the cycle paths along the rivers should be standard on the Wetter to Laubach and the Usa to Saalburg with places where you can linger or with signs pointing to beer gardens, cafés and restaurants that can be reached by bike.
