Erdmannsdorf-Augustusburg Stop Information: Originally planned as a train station, it was later converted into a stop, while the cable car leading from here to the mountain station near Augustusburg Castle played a crucial role in developing the town.

Valley station, Augustusburg funicular railway. Information: This funicular railway was opened on June 24, 1911. It connects the Erdmannsdorf district and the Erdmannsdorf-Augustusburg train station with the town of Augustusburg and Augustusburg Castle. The eight-minute ride involves traveling uphill and downhill simultaneously, pulled by a single cable.

I would rather call it a mountain railway; you can save yourself the climb to Augustusburg.

The Zschopautal cycle path is largely well developed and often runs on asphalted or well-paved paths.
