The climb is shorter than the stated 50 minutes (from the waterfall). The hut is certainly very nice - when open...

From Assach, the ascent is very comfortable up to the Assacher Scharte, followed immediately by a steep, rope-secured section. The summit ridge continues relatively flat, and shortly before the summit, there's another rope-secured section. Overall, every potentially dangerous and exposed section is well secured with ropes and footholds.

Up to the waterfall it is relatively easy and not that steep. From there on it is steep and very slippery when wet. You should be fit and sure-footed (mountain boots).

Very beautiful lake with trout and an easy circular path. Not legally accessible by bike despite the tarmac road.
