If you stay overnight in Schladming and receive the Schladming Card, you can use the cable cars in the region for free. This is great for hikers with and without children.

It is also worth mentioning that you have to pay 9 euros to use the uphill trail. And not all of the elevation gain is actually on a trail, but about a third is actually just a forest road...
