Beautiful running route along the historic fortress wall.

The Tour des Remparts (~3.5 km) is great for a run, because it is perfectly serviced, almost car-free all the way, and constantly offers a beautiful view. It is mainly tarmac or cement, generally very flat with a few short steep sections.

Lac de la Mouche is surrounded by forests and villages where you can admire views of the water and wildlife, as well as the impressive semi-viaduct dam that holds back the lake. The trail is easy and well marked, and you can access it all year round.

The Jardin de Silière in Cohons was created in 1661, the same year as Versailles, and features a symmetrical design with water features, boxwood, yew, hornbeam and lime trees. You can also walk along a small stream with waterfalls and a tuff formation, which is labeled as a "Remarkable Tree Cluster". The garden is open to the public from May 1 to November 11, and offers guided tours and special events.

Fort de la Bonnelle is one of the few forts to have engaged in an artillery duel with Prussian troops in 1870. The fort is located on a promontory south of the Buzon plateau, and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. . The fort is open to visits during Heritage Days, or by appointment with the Association of Friends of Fort de la Bonnelle. You can admire the impressive vaulted galleries, the casemates, the caponnieres and the large courtyard of this fort which was modified by General Séré de Rivières in 1884-1885. The fort covers an area of 18 hectares and could accommodate up to 800 soldiers. It is a remarkable example of the evolution of military engineering in the 19th century.
