The parish church of St. Valerius was built in the 13th century as a Romanesque church and expanded in the Gothic architectural style. It has a beautiful altar and ceiling paintings in the canopy.

St. Valerius Wanderath On January 1st, 2022, the parishes of St. Dionysius Kirchwald, St. Quirinus Langenfeld and St. Valerius Wanderath merged into today's parish of Langenfeld St. Jodokus. Until the middle of the 19th century, the town of Wanderath consisted only of a church, vicarage, school and a residential building. From 1913 onwards, a Roman villa rustica was excavated on the site below the vicarage by the then priest Schneider. A Roman grave was also found in the 1950s. Saint Valerius, patron of the parish church, was one of the first bishops of Trier. The church has been rebuilt five times over the years.
