The 2 km long Kottenheimer Wichtelweg is a lovely pre-Christmas destination. All kinds of people and groups from the area have made gnome houses and gnome crafts that you can visit at around 50 stations. The Wichtelweg is open daily and around the clock from November 17, 2024 to January 8, 2025, as it is located on public hiking trails in the "Kottenheimer Winfeld".

Shelter, important when it rains. For sunny days: 2 large benches outside invite you to take a rest.

What do the photos have to do with the title of the highlight? I can't see the "Nettehöfe" anywhere...

Most of the time they lie in the shade of a large willow tree further away from the path.

Viewpoint: From the viewpoint on the Lehnen Viaduct you have a beautiful view over the surrounding landscape of the East Eifel. The former railway line is now part of a cycling and hiking trail.
