A path winds through this wild creek valley, bordered by an enchanting beech forest. It was formed during the Ice Age, which is still evident today in the bedrock characterized by numerous stones.

A wildly romantic side valley with massive stone blocks forming a kind of wall. During the Danish-Swedish War, this was a hideout for the rebels known as the Snapphanes. If you explore the area, you might discover small caves that served as dwellings back then.

Besides visiting Hembygdsparken, you can also enjoy a nice walk along the river and take a look at the lovely boat harbor opposite.

The mix of history, adventure, and wildlife viewing makes Hembygdsparken an interesting destination for young and old. Among other things, it features a number of museums, several animal enclosures, a climbing park, and an adventure trail.
