St. Mary’s Church of Lappee is a unique natural and cultural site of the Saimaa Geopark, located in central Lappeenranta. Built in 1794 by Juhana Salonen, it is the only wooden double cruciform church from the 18th century in Finland. The church is surrounded by an old cemetery and offers insight into traditional craftsmanship and regional history.
