At IJs&Zo in Lathum it is definitely worth taking a break, because they make fresh Italian ice cream every day. Not only delicious in taste, but also beautifully presented. The name already suggests it, but the Oude IJssel is a tributary of the river IJssel. The Oude IJssel starts in Germany and ensures that rainwater is drained from Germany and the Achterhoek. The Oude IJssel meets the Gelderse IJssel in the Hanseatic city of Doesburg and flows into the IJssel in the town. Interesting fact: because of the iron deposits in the ground here, this was the place where the Dutch iron industry originated.
