St. Lorenz Church in Lorenz Park at the end of the pedestrian zone is the oldest church in the city and, as the mother church of the region, of great historical significance. St. Lorenz Parish Church The parish of St. Lorenz was first documented in 1214. On the central panel, Emperor Henry II and his wife Kunigunde hold a model of Bamberg Cathedral; the founder, pastor at Hof and dean of the cathedral in Bamberg, kneels beneath it.
