The Peichterturm is a historic round tower in the Innstadt district and part of the former medieval city fortifications. It was built around 1402/1403 and served as a battery tower to reinforce the city wall at the western entrance to the Innstadt. Today, the tower is a well-preserved example of medieval defensive architecture, has been restored several times, and is one of the visible relics of Passau's historic fortifications.

A really beautiful old farmhouse

St. Severin's Church in Passau's Innstadt district is considered the oldest church in the city whose masonry remains intact. Picturesquely situated near the Inn River and surrounded by a historic cemetery, it preserves a piece of Passau's early medieval history. Its origins reach far back: The church dates back to a pre-Romanesque predecessor, possibly even to a foundation established by Saint Severin, who was active in the region in the 5th century. Archaeological excavations in 1976 uncovered the foundations of an even older church – evidence of the long religious tradition of this site. Today, St. Severin's is a branch church of the Passau-Innstadt parish and a quiet, atmospheric place that vividly brings Passau's early Christian history to life.
