The Emma Jaeger Bath, designed by city architect Alfred Roepert, was built as a donation from Emma Jaeger, the wife of a merchant. It was the first indoor swimming pool in Pforzheim. The richly articulated building, with its bay windows, gables, and steep roofs, is in the Neo-Renaissance style. The towering structure served as a reservoir for the water supply.

Although the Castle Church is an imposing building in Pforzheim's cityscape, there is no written record of its early history: it was first mentioned in a document in 1342, but it is known that the church existed before that. In the late Middle Ages, the city of Pforzheim achieved significant predominance as the residence of the Margraves of Baden. Their home was the Castle Hill, on which, as the name suggests, their castle complex stood. This included the Latin school and the St. Michael's Scholars' Foundation (today's Castle Church). This was the starting point for humanism and the Reformation in the Margraviate of Baden in 1555. The relocation of the Margravial Residence to Durlach marked the end of the Castle Church as a court church. Only the Abbey Choir, which had been designated as the burial site of the princely house since 1538, remained in use as a burial chapel for the next 300 years. The burial site is only open to the public on special occasions. The Evangelical Castle Church of St. Michael is one of the very few witnesses from the Middle Ages to have survived Pforzheim's destruction on February 23, 1945, in some measure. With its extraordinary wealth of medieval gravestones, the castle church is considered "the city's stone history book." The wooden nave was completely destroyed and, after the end of the war, rebuilt with the combined efforts of the people of Pforzheim, so that the church could be re-consecrated in 1957. The portal of the castle church is stylistically based on the model of the Maulbronn Monastery Church. The stonemason's marks are also the same as those left by the workmen in Maulbronn around 1200. The bronze double doors of the entrance portal were created in 1959 by the Stuttgart sculptor Jürgen Weber. It depicts six biblical scenes: Michael fighting with the dragon, Jesus calming the storm, Judas kissing Jesus, Peter and the rooster, Paul in prison, and the stoning of Saint Stephen.
