The Vogtsbauernhof Black Forest Open-Air Museum documents the artisanal and rural lifestyles of various regions of the Black Forest. The presentation of different time periods illustrates the cultural and social-historical changes of the past centuries. The museum owes its name to the Vogtsbauernhof, built on its present site in 1612. One of its owners is documented as a valley bailiff in the climatically favorable Gutach Valley around 1650. With the opening of the museum in 1964, the thatched Vogtsbauernhof became the epitome of the Black Forest house. As early as 1275, a church built by the Lords of Hornberg was mentioned in Gutach. In the 16th century, it appears in the records as "Sannt Petters Parish Church in the Guttach". The current church shows two construction phases and occupies an outstanding position among the few Protestant churches in the Black Forest. The late Gothic choir (from 1504) contains a beautiful sacrament house with fresco paintings and a baptismal font from that period. The choir windows (from 1955) resemble an open Bible. The stucco decorations on the pulpit with the parables of the vine and the good shepherd and the striking ceiling clock are also noteworthy. The onion dome from 1781 is considered to be Gutach's landmark. On the outside of the church, memorial plaques commemorate various Gutach personalities.
