A visit to the uppermost large shipping lock on the Upper Rhine is worthwhile. The impressive structure, which is 110m long and 12m wide, allows ships to continue their journey to the bridge in Rheinfelden. The lock is used by passenger ships, cargo ships and pleasure boats. The bridge enables a leisurely stroll across the state border.
