If you don't have a bike trailer with you, it's a great shortcut to/from Steinen-Maulburg, so you don't have to ride along the road in Höllstein. However, since the weir bridge is very narrow, it's not suitable for trailers or tricycles.

Be careful, there is a narrow bridge and then a narrow path with oncoming traffic, sometimes too narrow for oncoming traffic, then a beautiful, narrow forest path.

In 2024, after 112 years of operation, a spruce board wall was finally doweled in place, because like me, you are often too distracted by the view of the river on the bridge and end up standing on it. Maybe it's just a temporary solution until a suitable railing has been welded.
