Very beautiful and rustic mountain hut with a great view, very good food and extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended for a stopover or overnight stay!

The hiking car park at this point is free. There is also a bus stop, a children's playground and a pub here. If you want to go further up into the Halltal, you have to either walk, cycle or take a taxi. In the summer from May to October, a shuttle runs every hour on Saturdays and Sundays (if it is not raining) for €5 per adult and €2.50 for children. The Felix-Kuen trail first goes around the Hundskopf and then goes up to the summit on the west side. It's short and not a challenge for experienced hikers, but it's a very pleasant walk.

Distinctive peak above the Inn Valley. A little climbing is required if you want to reach the summit. It is up to you whether you climb via the Hundskopf East Ridge or the Felix-Kuen-Steig. Personally, I would classify the East Ridge as somewhat more difficult due to the entry, but both are short and doable if you have some via ferrata experience.

A super cozy hut with a perfect view of the valley and an unobstructed view. The food is excellent and the hut owners are super friendly. The restrooms take some getting used to, as the older and younger guests have to be separated. Unfortunately, this can sometimes cause a rather strong smell. Highly recommended nonetheless!

Very nice location. Classic mountain hut. No hot water, no showers, no charging facilities. Cozy guest room.

A few meters from the hut, at the beautiful vantage point near the material cable car, you have a fantastic view over the entire Hall Valley, which is bordered by numerous peaks.

The rustic Alpensöhnehütte is located above the entrance to the Halltal below the Hüttenspitze (Halltaler Zunterkopf). It is easily accessible from several sides and, when the trail is dry, also easy for children to do.
