Unfortunately, this was the end of the line for us. We didn't think our youngest (9) was up to it. The rest of the way to the summit of the Ochsenkopf is also classified as a difficult mountain hike. That's unfortunately true... For everyone else: sturdy shoes, good fitness, and no fear...

A very beautiful panoramic summit in the Kitzbühel Alps, with a chapel instead of a summit cross at its highest point. This unique feature certainly makes it attractive, but the view of the Hohe Tauern range is particularly breathtaking – the Großvenediger seems almost within reach. The summit can be reached from the Neue Bamberger Hütte, for example, via a well-marked trail that requires surefootedness and a certain head for heights only for the last 100 meters or so.

From the hiking trail there is a wonderful view of the Salzach valley and the peaks of the Venediger group.

The Gipfelliner offers a wonderful view and has a comfortable speed even for the timid.

You should be sure-footed and not afraid of heights, then you can easily master this spot.
