The new Further Hut was opened in 1929 and offers a great view. It is located on the Tauern Westweg and the Arnoweg, and the Kratzenbergsee can be reached quickly below the hut. From the end of the valley (approx. 1,641 meters) it is also possible to transport backpacks using the material lift. More information is available at https://www.fuerther-huette.at/.

The show dairy is definitely worth a visit. You can also buy delicious cheese. In warm or hot temperatures, however, it is advisable to have somewhere to keep the cheese cool. Otherwise, the cheese might not stay completely fresh. In addition to the carriage rides to the dairy, I would recommend walking the almost three kilometers to the dairy. The hiking trail often runs right next to the road and you can take a short break at the waterfall and watch the natural spectacle.

Gasthof Alpenrose in the Habachtal, what a wonderful panorama. A detour here is absolutely worthwhile.

The alpine pasture is not open for guests, but there is a wonderful view from here.

At the summit you have an impressive panoramic view, especially of the Hohe Tauern. A summit book and a stamp office are available. Anyone who wants to tackle this tour must be sure-footed, experienced in mountaineering and have a head for heights.

Cycling up to Alm Kasplatzel is a very worthwhile destination and as a reward you can enjoy a cheese board with wheat on the terrace of the Käsealm, wonderful!

The Kratzenbergsee is located at the southern end of the Hollersbachtal in the Venice group in Pinzgau. At 24 hectares, it is the largest natural mountain lake in the Hohe Tauern National Park and in the Eastern Alps. The mountain lake is impressively framed by high peaks, such as the Abreder (also Abbretter), the Seekopf, both just under 3,000 m high, and the Kratzenberg and the Larmkogel (both over 3,000 m high). The Neue Fürther Hütte is in its immediate vicinity. The outflow of the lake, the Seebach, together with the Hüttenbach, after their confluence above the Ofneralm, forms the Hollersbach, which drains the Hollersbachtal.
