In the Emser Bike Park area, there's a Roman mining site right on the Blöskopf. However, there's only one signpost, as everything is heavily overgrown.

On the southeastern outskirts of Dausenau is the so-called Leaning Tower. It is part of the medieval city wall at the exit toward Nassau. After the town was granted city rights in 1348, the construction of a fortification was probably completed in 1359. Originally, the hexagonal tower, made of rubble masonry, was about 25 meters high.
