The Holzhausen Roman Fort is an impressive example of Roman military architecture on the Upper Germanic Limes—now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is idyllically situated in the forest near Holzhausen an der Haide in the Rhein-Lahn district and is one of the best-preserved Limes forts in Germany.

Very beautiful Hohenfels Valley, dreamily beautiful like in a fairytale.

The Dörsbachtal is more of a hiking valley and is only recommended for mountain biking to a limited extent because there are many carrying sections and you need thorn protection at the bottom.

From here you have an excellent view of the train station, the town of Balduinstein, the inconspicuous castle ruins and the Schaumburg castle on top of the mountain.

New, light bridges have made this section between Geilnau and Laurenburg possible. The existing paths on the left bank of the Lahn were used and slightly expanded. The route has turned out to be beautiful.

Beautiful building. The old town is a must-see!
