Right where the Kleine Saale flows into the Saale, there's a beautiful rest area overlooking the water. The location is quiet and invites you to take a short break – perfect for cyclists on the Saale Cycle Path. From here, you have a fantastic view of the confluence of the two rivers and can enjoy nature during a short rest. Ideal for a drink break or a small picnic – a real insider tip, especially in summer, off the beaten track.

We got there too early, and the cable ferry wasn't operating yet...so we took a small detour to get to the other side. It wasn't a problem, and the path was beautiful 🥰

The cycle path is relatively narrow at this point, especially when there is oncoming traffic.
