The trail ascending to Tennesvatnet is very steep, often slippery and contains sections of significant exposure. Although there is a path to follow it can become obscured by bracken at times. The trail beyond Tennesvatnet continues to be very demanding. Make an honest assessment of your abilities and experience, your equipment and the conditions before attempting this route.

Whether you want to take a ferry or not, your arrival in Vinstad inevitably means passing through the pier. Close to the water, you can admire a spectacular view of the fjord, unobstructed by anything. The ferry from Vinstad takes you back to Reine, but can also take you to other branches of the fjord to explore other trails.

Once you arrive in Vinstad, treat yourself to a sweet treat or a refreshing drink on the panoramic terrace of this café. An authentic, simple, and unique place.

The hike is relatively easy at first before becoming more challenging. But along the way, you can enjoy magnificent views of the fjord.

Indeed a very nice fjord on the way to/from the beach. Met a friendly local on the way back to the pier and we had a nice informative chat. Be prepared for a picnic if the café is closed.
