A small peak (47 m) with a great view of the island. There's no bench, but you can sit on the rocks. The gravel road ends before this point, and a small path leads uphill, with occasional puddles and muddy ground from the rain (early June).

This is the signposted trail to Tyskenghatten, a fine summit that boasts tremendous views towards Heilhornet in Nordland. The trail is marked but dress appropriately, as the weather can be fickle.

The three lakes here at Olaslåtten make for the ideal rest stop on the hike up to Tyskenghatten. It's a just reward for the initial steep section.

Tyskenghatten is the Leka municipality's second highest summit. It's a great hiking objective and affords tremendous views towards mighty Heilhornet.

As the attractive peak of Heilhornet comes into view, it's an exciting moment. Heilhornet is one of the great mountains of southern Helgeland and makes for a glorious hike. The sharp top rises above the Hornfjellet plateau and the final section involves some airy scrambling.

This small lake on the ascent to Heilhornet is great for a break before continuing up onto the Hornfjellet plateau. It's a great place to top up your water supplies.

Part of the circular hike on the Skeisnesset Kultursti, a heath and lowland landscape with remains of settlements and burial mounds.

Very demanding tour. Very wet in the lower area, lots of boulder terrain at the top. Not a hike, but a serious tour that should only be undertaken when visibility is good.
