旧市街の中心は、3つの小塔に飾られた市庁舎のあるオーバーマルクトです。今日の多くの記念碑と同様に、建物は繰り返し追加され、変更されてきました。建設は1300年頃に始まり、1432年に南に拡張され、1532年に3つの塔を持つ木骨造りが追加され、1674年頃にバロック様式の外階段が市庁舎の建設を完了しました。オーバーマルクトには、通称「アイヒスフェルト大聖堂」と呼ばれる聖キリアクス教会もあります。豊かな調度品と2つの印象的な塔を持つこのカトリック教会は、1240年から1490年にかけて建設されました。これにより、ドゥーダーシュタットで最も古い建物の一つとなっています。 出典: https://www.ndr.de/ratgeber/reise/harz_suedniedersachsen/Duderstadt-Ausflug-ins-Mittelalter,duderstadt103.html

Admittedly, it's a real pain for the eco-bikers among us. But the view and the long descent that follows make up for it. Caution: When riding from the lookout point/campsite towards Nesselröden, you shouldn't completely ignore the gravel and stones, especially in the curves. In some places, full throttle is only for "danger seekers." 😬

The chapel is a great destination for a hike and a beautiful photo opportunity, the small bench invites you to rest
