From April to the end of September, you can go here every day (note: Mondays only from the beginning of July) from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for ice cream or drinks. This is a dairy shop all year round (where you can find cheese, butter, yoghurt, milk, ... as well as chocolate and jam); open every weekday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.; on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. I thought the farm ice cream (coffee, pistachio, speculoosà) was damn tasty.

Four in one: 1. a place to spot approaching migratory birds, to spot wildlife; 2. a platform to enjoy the landscape; there is an orientation table (in clear weather you can see the towers of Bruges); 3. a shelter/picnic area, 4. a monumental intervention in the landscape in the form of a short-eared owl.

On the grounds of Groep Gid(t)s, a partnership between two facilities for people with disabilities - Dominiek Savio and Mariasteen - lies one of the two fishing ponds of the municipality of Hooglede-Gits; the other - a trout fishing pond - is located on Oude Rozebekestraat.

Forest of about 16 hectares, next to Hoeve Ter Kerst and Dominiek Savio in Hooglede. The first plantings date from 2001, and in 2009 the youngsters were allowed to inaugurate the new play forest. The station building from 1847, located on the Bruges-Kortrijk line, was mainly used by seasonal workers who went to work in the northern French chicory fields. It was closed in 1955. Since then it has been reopened once more, or more precisely: a temporary station was built next to the old station on the occasion of the 2007 Cyclocross World Championships. The station was given the name WK Hooglede-Gits. The old station served as a daycare centre for many years. Recently, the whole thing was completely redeveloped into infrastructure for the sports clubs present on the first floor. There is a canteen, terrace, 2 large changing rooms, 1 small changing room, toilets, storage rooms and a public toilet. A camper suggestion place was also provided at the front/side of the building. The whole thing was officially put into use in June 2024. The building will initially be made available to the football clubs during the weekends during the season, but the athletics club, tennis club, ... will also use it. This wooden post mill comes from Westkapelle where it was built in 1771. It was demolished in 1920 and taken to Gits. In the 1980s it was built near the GID(t)S Service Centre.
