Klein Zwitserland is the youngest member of the OHNE family. This makes it one of the first low-waste cafés in East Flanders. We share our vision with the hospitality industry: local, organic, and naturally unpackaged. We make this a reality for you by seeking out local partners, serving water and lemonade from a tap, composting our waste, reducing transport, providing all ingredients for meals and drinks without waste, and using reusable materials such as cloth napkins, stainless steel straws, and more. ‍A little bit of Switzerland in Flanders Somewhere in the Zwalm valley, hidden among the forests, lies Klein Zwitserland – OHNE's forest bar, a fairytale cottage surrounded by water and greenery and with a wealth of historical information. Klein Zwitserland has been a household name in Zwalm and beyond for years. In the early 20th century, the building on Galerijpad served as a lock keeper's house. The lock house was also converted into an inn. The name chosen for the inn was "Little Switzerland" because the lock keeper, in his imagination, compared this place to Switzerland: "My little pond is Lake Geneva, the hills are the Swiss mountains, and when the locks are open, I have a waterfall. This is simply Switzerland in miniature."

Klein Zwitserland is a small area on the Zwalm in the Zwalm valley in the municipality of Zwalm.[1] In Klein Zwitserland there is a lock and a savings pond, which regulate the flow of the IJzerkotmolen, a nearby watermill. At the beginning of the 20th century a lock keeper's house was also built.

The Bottelaarse Vijverswegel is a charming, unpaved path that takes you past vast fields, with rows of trees on the horizon framing the landscape.
