A lovely spot for a quick stop overlooking the Ponte Vecchio. A water dispenser with chilled and sparkling water is nearby. A great starting point for visiting Piazza del Popolo and the center of Cesena, or for heading towards the hills from Via dei Maceri.

Piazza del Popolo is the main square of Cesena, located in the historic city centre. The square is home to the town hall, the Rocchetta di Piazza and the Fontana Masini, a fountain from the late 16th century. The square is an important location for public events and markets, which take place every Wednesday and Saturday. Historically, the square was laid out in its current form around 1400 by Andrea Malatesta. The square has had several names over the years, and was given its current name after World War II.

Since 2001, Emilia Romagna Teatro (ERT) has managed the Teatro Bonci in Cesena. This theatre offers a wide range of performances, including plays, concerts and dance performances. In addition, ERT also organises educational theatre programmes for schools. One of the highlights is the prestigious Festival Nazionale del Teatro Scolastico Elisabetta Turroni, which focuses on school theatre1. The complex of the Abbey of Santa Maria del Monte stands on the Spaziano hill, in Cesena. Built on the remains of a previous church built in the 9th century, enlarged and embellished in a period presumably between 1001 and 1026 when the monastery was founded, it reached its current appearance at the end of successive restorations between the 15th and 16th centuries century.
