Situated at 400 metres above sea level on a tuff ridge between the valleys of the Rabbi and Bidente Ronco rivers, it is a destination to be conquered by all bikers. It can be reached from Meldola, Predappio or Forlì with various routes through vineyards and cultivated fields with breathtaking views and with sections of slopes of up to 14%.

The bridge over the Rabbi and the Via Del Partigiano are recent constructions, but the crossing of the river in that part of the Forlì territory is already described in ancient documents... ... There is talk of a bridge in Vecchiazzano in the Libro Biscia di San Mercuriale in a document from 1196. If nature was benevolent, it is the same structure that the chronicler Giovanni di Mastro Pedrino will describe as having been overwhelmed by a flood of the Rabbi in 1433. Antonio Ordelaffi had it built in wood in 1445 with the help of a certain Mastro Giacomo da Ferrara, but only 36 years later the “Elders” of Forlì had it rebuilt by Ludovico di Andrea da Lugo and Lorenzo Antonio known as “Malabestia”. The mines remained on that site for over 60 years. A really big and magical park! There are many rabbits that are friendly to people. There is also a pond with ducks and nutria. Unfortunately you can see the devastation caused by the various floods between May 2023 and November 2024. The park is also suitable for jogging and there are some sports equipment.

In the 70s/80s it was also used as a summer centre.

Studies carried out over time place the origin of the Rocca delle Caminate around the year 1000. It was probably built within a pre-existing village or on a Roman fortress. Some hypotheses concern the attribution of the name: the first connects it to the configuration of the walkway that accompanies the battlements of the upper perimeter, while another refers to the existence of rooms equipped with fireplaces or hearths. Certainly suggestive is that which derives the name from the existence in the area of ovens equipped with fireplaces to produce building lime starting from the limestone rock called "spungone". Reachable via roads and various paths from multiple directions, this pre-medieval attraction, still active, stands in the hills between Forlì, Predappio and Meldola and offers a suggestive panoramic view of its surroundings. The small Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Caminate, or Blessed Virgin of Consolation, located on the border between the municipalities of Meldola and Predappio, in the “Fiordinano” area, was built in the mid-1930s. ...
