美しいサイクリングロード

The Italian chemist Giulio Natta, Nobel laureate in Chemistry in 1963, has close ties to the city of Sanremo. He became famous for his work on polymer structures and the development of modern plastics such as polypropylene, which had a lasting impact on industry. Natta spent part of his life in Sanremo, where he sought respite and lived for periods of time. The city still commemorates the important scientist today, including with a plaque at his former residence.

The Sanremo Casino is located right at the beginning of the main shopping street. It is one of the city's most famous landmarks and a symbol of its glamorous past: opened in 1905, the Art Nouveau building impresses with its elegant facades and opulent halls.

In August, it's nice and cool in the tunnels. Wonderful route, one of the most beautiful bike paths anywhere. You should set off early, around 8 a.m., in midsummer; there are plenty of places to stop for refreshments. Easy (or not at all) route profile. Easy rolling!
