The Sanctuary of the Madonnina del Lago is a small church located about 500 meters from Lake Varese. The interior is simple, with a single nave and an apse which houses the fresco of the Nativity, framed by the Lourdes cave. Legend tells of a knight who crossed the frozen lake on a winter night to reach his beloved bride.

A beautiful part of the Lake Varese cycle path, near the Sanctuary of the Madonnina del Lago. Some sections are completely immersed in the woods, while in other parts there are clearings with a view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Really enchanting.
