A road that is easy to drive on

The town hall is located somewhat away from the city center and in the immediate vicinity of the city museum.

As of November 2025, the building was boarded up. Hopefully, there's a plan for its renovation.

This fountain stands right in the middle of the market square. Of course, it's not running in winter.

At four meters high, the Janus Fountain in Bad Segeberg's pedestrian zone is a true heavyweight with a minimalist design. Sculptor Frauke Wehberg created it in 1993 for the local Volksbank, which was celebrating its anniversary. Inspired by the two-faced Roman god Janus, the fountain features not only two vertical columns but also two water basins facing in different directions. The town hall, built in late classicist style in the style of the architect Christian Frederik Hansen, was built between 1826 and 1828.
