Probstsee is a cultural monument and a testament to a company's history. It was once a clay pit belonging to a brickworks. In 1893, Berthold Probst took over the existing facilities and founded his own company. He produced bricks, tiles, and fireclay for fireplaces until 1934. Today, high-rise buildings extend almost to the lake's edge. With its many benches, it serves as a local recreation area right on the doorstep for residents.
