Stunning view of the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa

route starts on a dirt road and then a not very challenging path. start under the trees then all under the sun. Also suitable for children who love walking

Easy summit, very panoramic, too many people on holidays, better on weekdays.

It is commonly reached from Pian delle Nere passing from Rifugio Fornetto, with very steep sections of climb (especially at the end), but in the absence of snow and ice and to be considered difficulty E. The sessions from up there are beautiful, from the mountains of the Val d 'Aosta to that of the Cuneo area where Monviso stands out, and then the Canavese plain with the Superga basilica and the Turin hill. I also mention the nearby Quinzeina peaks (north and south) and Punta Rama with its bivouac at the top, clearly visible on clear days

If desired, there is also the climb to the Torretta nearby.

It's a magical place! Beautiful, with a panorama dominated by the Rosa massif and the Matterhorn!

Breathtaking view from the top, especially with a clear sky. You can see the lakes below, Monte Rosa, Matterhorn, Weisshorn, Combin de Grafenerie, Mt Blanc, Gran Paradiso and Monviso. Not difficult to reach. The first part of the ascent consists in getting to Col Fussy via an easy trail (8C). The last part is on stony ground, never too steep. There are only a few parts of the trail there, which can be found by following the sporadic yellow signs and stone cairns. During the last part, there were a lot of beautiful ibexes!
