The Via dei Pastori, created in 2022 by the Unione Montana del Pinerolese, is a cycle-hiking route between Torre Pellice and Bobbio Pellice that allows safe transhumance and offers an alternative route in case of emergency. It develops on secondary and forest roads, among woods, meadows and equipped areas, connecting various cycle-tourism rings of the UPSLOWTOUR project.

Chiot la Sella is a mountain pasture located 1,356 meters above sea level, in a green clearing surrounded by larch and beech forests. It is an ideal place for a break: here you will also find a fountain where you can fill your water bottles, and when the mountain pasture is open you can buy their cheeses.

A quiet corner surrounded by greenery in Villar Pellice, perfect for a relaxing break. Here you can recharge your e-bike thanks to the Upslowtour totems, while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere by the lake. There is a small bar and you can fish for trout directly in the pond, using the equipment provided free of charge: you only pay for what you catch. Around the lake you will find shaded spaces, picnic areas and grills for outdoor cooking.

It is also possible to start the routes from the Barbara Lowrie refuge car park if you start from Val Pellice.

Located a few kilometers from Bobbio Pellice in the Pis della Rossa area, in the Carbonieri valley, the refuge is located in a splendid place where you can spend one or more days with family or friends surrounded by nature.

The “tumpi” are deep pools formed along watercourses. In the municipality of Bobbio Pellice, the Guichard torrent has formed several with its fresh water where it is possible to cool off during the summer months when the temperatures in the city become truly unbearable. From June to September these pools of fresh water are in fact the perfect destination for families and young people looking for a bit of relief from the heat. Furthermore, the tumpi of Bobbio Pellice are also ideal for those who love to dive since the rocks that surround them act as perfect natural springboards.

The Barbara Lowrie refuge is located in Pis della Rossa, in the Carbonieri valley of Bobbio Pellice. It was built in 1928 by a Canadian couple, Walter and Barbara Lowrie, who used it as a hunting lodge. Later, they sold it to the CAI UGET who turned it into a refuge, inaugurating it in 1931. It has a capacity of 24 beds and is open every day from May to October with bar service, restaurant and overnight stay. For more information, visit the refuge website: https://www.rifugiobarbara.it.

The Barbara refuge can be reached starting from Perlà hamlet before entering Bobbio Pellice. Narrow valley at the beginning with the rushing torrent with 2 small private power plants. It starts with chestnut trees but quickly climbing with steep slopes of even 20% it widens with magnificent pine forests until almost at the bottom of the valley where the refuge is located on the left. The refuge is part of the competitive tour of the 3 refuges. IMPORTANT: there are 4 220V sockets to recharge the batteries.
