The Jumarre Refuge is located at 1,450 meters above sea level, along the path that from the hamlet of Serre goes up towards Colle della Vaccera. The refuge is an ideal reference point for hikers and bikers, thanks to its panoramic position and the paths that reach it. Here you can find hospitality, refreshments and typical local dishes, as well as useful information on the surrounding itineraries.

The first structure of the Pian del Re refuge hotel was built by the Municipality of Crissolo in 1874 to accommodate mountaineers intent on climbing the Normal route of Monviso. In 1909 it became privately owned and management passed to the Perotti family, a historic dynasty of mountain guides of Monviso. Numerous paths start from here, both for day trips and for multi-day treks, such as the Giro del Monviso, or mountaineering itineraries, including the Normal route of Monviso. The refuge is open every day from the beginning of June to the end of September and offers 30 beds, in addition to a bar and restaurant service. The Battaglione Alpini Monte Granero refuge, better known as the Granero refuge, is located at the foot of the mountain of the same name, at 2,377 meters above sea level. Built in 1926 and inaugurated in 1928, it was expanded between the 1980s and 1990s. Today it can accommodate about 50 people and is open from June to September. Great place to stop or reconcile.

Tough climb alternating stretches in the woods and stretches on asphalt, but the view once you reach the hill is worth the effort.

Last effort between the Refuge and the Colle after a very tiring but rewarding climb.
