The castle deserves a little more attention

My ideal climb for daily training, if you've never done it, I recommend it

A 14th century castle, later remodeled in the following centuries, and currently in a state of abandonment - although the walls are still holding up well. Despite the abandonment, or perhaps because of it, it has an imposing, and somewhat gloomy, Gothic-tale appearance. Around the castle, the Rivera hamlet, and an 18th century chapel dedicated to the Madonna - although there are no specific inscriptions. It is located on a beautiful cycle path that goes from Trofarello down towards the Mulino di Gallè and from there towards Rivalta or Villastellone: secondary roads with very little traffic, with easy and compact dirt sections. A gem on a beautiful route.

Easy walk on the hill between the towns of Moncalieri and Trofarello, to be avoided only on the hottest summer days

It is hard to climb but then Pecetto is beautiful

Nice stretch that goes from Trofarello, to the Revigliasco curve before the Pecetto roundabout

Ruin (unfortunately abandoned) of the Rivera Castle (11th century). Originally owned by the Monks of Testona. It was part of the ancient Contado di Celle, has four side turrets, the pointed arch entrance with traces of graffiti.
