Burnelは、Nomaglioの中心部を横切る通りであるVia Maestraの途中に位置する、古代のコッペッラ（cup-marked stone）です。その表面には、先史時代に刻まれたコッペッラ、つまり半球状の小さな窪みが今も残っています。その正確な機能は研究者の間で議論の的となっていますが、おそらく豊穣の儀式や崇拝の実践に関連していたと考えられています。より最近の時代には、この石は水盤を設けることで噴水として利用され、また、村人たちがここで刃物やナイフを研ぐために残した溝も石に見ることができます。「burnel」という名前はまさにこれを意味します。つまり、石製の水盤を持つ噴水です。これは、数平方センチメートルの面積に、先史時代の痕跡の上に重なった何世紀にもわたる日常の使用の歴史を物語るものであり、周囲にある典型的なCanavese様式のアーチを持つ石造りの家々よりもはるかに古い時代からこの村の生活に寄り添ってきました。
