Sportinia is always beautiful. Reached by a hike starting from the experimental center and passing through Pian della Rocca, on August 31st we found the Rocce Nere refuge open, where we enjoyed a platter and a beer.

Salbertrand is a beautiful mountain village

Chateau Beaulard is a beautiful village, well-kept and enhanced, with the old school museum and bakery that offer a dip into the past. Ideal for walks suitable for all needs, it can be reached from Oulx with a flat route of about 50 minutes on a dirt road.

Pierremenaud is a picturesque village at 1442 meters above sea level, located on the slopes of Mount Cotolovier. It offers a splendid view of Oulx, Sauze d’Oulx and the valley, with a small fountain from 1835 and a church dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua dating back to 1711.

Alternative road to go down towards Sestriere, instead of the Bordin path

Sestriere, one of the highest villages in Italy at 2035 metres, is nestled in the Piedmont Alps and is famous for its ski slopes and breathtaking views. Founded in 1934, it was home to the 2006 Winter Olympics and is home to the modern architecture of the Towers and the historic St. Edward's Church. It is part of the Milky Way Ski Area, offering a variety of summer and winter activities. The surroundings offer natural beauty and historical sites such as the Fort of Fenestrelle.
