La Morta is a woman found mummified in 1792 in the ossuary of the local cemetery. The mummy, which has become an object of devotion for the inhabitants of the area, is currently preserved in a display case inside the chapel built outside the parish church of Agrano.

Hidden among the slopes of Mottarone, at 1,204 meters, the Rifugio Alpe Nuovo offers a welcoming space with 12 beds. The structure, the result of the passion of members and volunteers, is also equipped with a kitchen and dining room. The bar service is limited, but you can consume your own food.

Very nice, idyllic spot on the way to Alpe Nuovo, which can be seen from here. Great drinking spot for the dog.
