Pietra Marazzi is an Italian town of 915 inhabitants in the province of Alessandria in Piedmont. The historic core of the town extends over a hillock close to the left bank of the Tanaro river. On three sides it is surrounded by the Bricco di San Giovanni, the Monte Mariano and the Bricco Sant'Ilario.

Splendid climb, once you reach the top you travel on the ridge then the descent towards Pietra Marazzi.

In the municipality of Montecastello (AL), the hamlet of San Zeno is one of the favorite places for cyclists in the area to ride away from traffic and enjoy a splendid view.

Originally it was known as Pecetum Valentinum as it was located near the current Valenza, then an important garrison to guard the crossings on the Po. It was built around a large villa, the typical patrician economic structure of the late Republican period and the first Roman Empire, a combination of country house, farm and factory.
