モンタボーネは、カッシーナスコ、セッサメ、モンバルッツォに非常に近い、アスティ・モンフェッラートにある小さな丘の村です。

要塞のような塔で、モンフェッラートの存在の象徴であり、監視と参照の地点です。

On September 11, 1944, a group of partisans attacked the barracks of the fascist auxiliary police in Alessandria (in Via Pontida) and shot dead an officer of the Black Brigades. In the ensuing battle, Carlo Parodi was killed, the other three were captured and immediately shot by firing squad. Here, in the small town of Corte, part of San Marzonao Oliveto, there was a surprise attack by the "Nazi-fascists" on a partisan unit stationed here, during which ten partisans were killed - in combat, while fleeing or after being captured.
