A beautiful little pond with many views of the Ammergau and Allgäu Alps, such as the Alpspitze near Nesselwang, the Aggenstein between Pfronten and Tannheimertal, the Säuling near Füssen or the Tegelberg near Schwangau. At the south-eastern end, the pond turns into a boggy end zone and the approximately one-hour hike around the lake takes you along a somewhat more adventurous rustic forest path by the lake.

Very nice hiking trail that leads mostly through forest.

From here you can enjoy a stunning view from the Alpspitz/Edelsberg to the Ammergebirge. In good weather you can even see the Zugspitz plateau. And you can also see the Hopfensee in the valley. Beautiful!
