The Roman Catholic, listed parish church of St. John the Baptist is to my taste. There's almost no gilding. Built between 1886 and 1892, it features wooden figures and beautiful carved and painted images of the Stations of the Cross. Another tip: if you're ever near Nesselwang, visit the beautiful parish church of St. Andreas in the center of Nesselwang. One of the most beautiful in the Allgäu.
