Füssen is at the end of the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path and the Romantic Road. Füssen rightly enjoys an excellent reputation, as it lies at the foot of the Alps and on a beautiful lake (Forggensee). The old town of Füssen also offers a number of sights and the proximity to the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles have made Füssen famous beyond the borders.

The ruin as such is relatively unspectacular. But the view is gigantic. You can eat deliciously in the Burghotel Falkenstein
