Rose bushes often grow along the edges of vine rows: an ancient tradition that combines beauty and utility. Roses, more susceptible to vine diseases, act as natural "sentinels," warning of any problems first, as well as attracting beneficial insects and adding color to the vineyards.

The fountain is beautiful, the tap at the back with drinkable water is convenient and useful, and the sign summarizing the history of the Asti aqueduct (which takes water from Cantarana) is very interesting.

A few meters from the town of Cantarana there is this small church dedicated to San Rocco. From here you can glimpse the beautiful baroque bell tower of the town church and on this road that connects Cantarana to Villafranca there is a precious cycle-pedestrian path!
