A charming, but not very touristy, town on the Via Francigena, about two-thirds of the way up from Castelfiorentino. There's a park and places to eat in the center, and the main road is a bit off the beaten track.

Located along the Via Francigena between Castelfiorentino and Gambassi, the beautiful parish church also hosts a hostel for pilgrims, the Sigerico hostel.

The Sigerico hostel is located in the former convent adjacent to the medieval Pieve of Santa Maria Assunta in Chianni. This beautiful building is located on one of the routes of the Via Francigena, which Sigerico, Archbishop of Canterbury, traveled between 990 and 994. The Pieve represented for the English archbishop, the twentieth stop (Mansio) of his return itinerary from Rome to England.
