The new parish church was built in 1909 according to plans by Don Angelo Noacco, parish priest of Cassacco, architect and author of numerous church projects in Friuli (including the Cathedral of Santo Stefano di Buja), and consecrated in 1938. Built in the Neo-Gothic style on an imposing base, the main façade of which is divided into two flights of stairs leading from the square to the churchyard, it features a striking façade with tower-shaped tabernacles, a porch, and a central rose window. Inside, three naves are divided by archivolt columns of red Verona marble. Thanner's frescoes, removed from the rear wall of the old parish church, were relocated to an arch in the left nave and appropriately restored.

The Church of Santa Maria ad Nives, in Osoppo, has a very simple architectural structure. Inside, however, it has a rich artistic collection. Of particular note is the important altarpiece by Pellegrino da San Daniele from the end of the fifteenth century, depicting a Madonna with Child on the throne and Saints, already present in the church of San Pietro in Fortezza. Also worth mentioning is a Madonna with Child and Saints Peter and Rocco by Pomponio Amalteo, dated 1569, depicting a view of the city fort, as well as a series of frescoes by Domenico Fabris from the mid-nineteenth century.

The drive up is worth it because from the top you can enjoy a beautiful, wide view of Friuli. The "place up there" is also very well maintained and invites you to linger. A restaurant completes the pleasant experience.
